Gifford Sutherland is co-founder and director of the social enterprise Foundation 4 Life a ground breaking community organisation which specialises in therapeutic intervention and support services for vulnerable , high risk individuals with complex needs including those affected by gangs , serious youth violence and sexual exploitation.
Gifford Is also Vice-Chairman of Race On The Agenda (ROTA) one of Britain’s leading social policy think-tanks focusing on issues that affect Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities. Originally set up in 1984 ROTA are responsible for a producing ‘Female Voice in Violence’ research which has contributed significantly in influencing government policies around this agenda.

Gifford has BSc in Sociology and Psychology and is an established trainer, facilitator and motivational speaker. As a social entrepreneur much of Gifford’s work has involved facilitating the rehabilitation and resettlement of ex-offenders by providing them with training, support and employment opportunities.

Prior to working in this sector Gifford spent ten years in the city as a Business Development Executive City working for leading media and telecommunications for brands such as The Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Auto Trader and Opera Telecom.
